This tour in a small group of 4 to 9 people will make you discover the Flinders Ranges, its 600 million years old rock formations and its abundant fauna and flora. Imagine a small group around a campfire, where you will experience the local Aboriginal culture, spectacular night skies and shooting stars. On this adventure you will also discover the real outback and its deserts, the mysterious atmosphere of Coober Pedy and the expense of Lake Eyre the largest salt lake in Australia.

Day 1 - Adelaide / Flinders Ranges (Lunch / Dinner) |
We leave Adelaide at 7am and travel towards the Clare Valley, well renowned for its wines. Going through some of the little towns of the Flinders Ranges where we stop for lunch. A visit of the Yourambulla Caves art site giving us an insight into Aboriginal culture. Arriving at Rawsley Park late afternoon , in time to see the sunset over Wilpena pound. Overnight camping or bungalow style accommodation.

Day 2 - Wilpena / Gammon Ranges (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner) |
After breakfast we go on a beautiful walk along the creek, up to the Wangara lookout where we can see the mystical heart of the Flinders Ranges with stunning views over Wilpena pound. Continuing our journey exploring Brachina and Bunyeroo gorges and discover their priceless geological treasures; crystal clear water holes and an abundance of flora and fauna including the rare yellow footed rock wallaby. A stop at the Prairie hotel for a cool refreshing beer before arriving at Iga Warta Aboriginal community where we spend time with the traditional custodians of this land and listen to their dreamtime stories around the campfire. Overnight stay at Iga Warta camping or bungalow style accommodation

Day 3 – Iga Warta to Marree (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner) |
After a hearty breakfast, one of the elders will take us on a tour of aboriginal painting site, along the way discovering some local bush tucker and medicinal plants. We will learn the meaning behind the ancient rock paintings. After lunch, we travel into the desert country off the sealed roads up the Oodnadatta track. We follow the old Ghan railway line and stop to explore the Lyndhurst ochre cliffs. The next stop is Marree, a town with a rich history as a staging post for the large camel trains carrying wool and supplies in the early days. Overnight stay at Marree camping or bungalow style accommodation. |

Day 4 – Marree to Coober Pedy (Breakfast / Lunch) |
We visit the Arabunna Aboriginal Centre with its great display of art, weapons and local information. Back on the track we explore fragile mound springs ecosystems with a possibility of a swim at Coward springs then head for the opal capital of the world, Coober Pedy. Traveling across the famous dingo fence and through the world’s largest cattle station, Anna Creek. We learn about the opal industry with a guided tour. Tonight sleeping like the locals: underground.

Day 5 –Coober Pedy to Adelaide (Breakfast) |
Leaving early morning, we drive back to Adelaide along the Stuart Highway with stops at Glendambo and Port Augusta arriving in Adelaide at about 6 pm
